ETC (evacuated tube collectors) perform better in diffuse/cloudy light, handle colder winters, and are more efficient for domestic use. All our solar water heaters include an electrical backup element (1–2 kW) that activates automatically when solar heating is insufficient. You never run out of hot water. The backup uses significantly less electricity than a standalone geyser because the water is already partially preheated.
